A restricted firearm has a locking device. What else is needed if no special vault is used?

  1. Nothing else is needed if the locking device is a cable lock.
  2. It must be in a locked container or room that is hard to break open.
  3. The bolt must be removed.
  4. The ammunition must be put in the same container as the firearm for safety.

Correct answer: It must be in a locked container or room that is hard to break open.

The locking device alone is not enough. The firearm must also be in a locked, strong container, receptacle or room.
